# Connect Matillion with OAuth 2.0 (Client Credentials) – StackOne Hub

> Link a Matillion account in the StackOne Hub using OAuth 2.0 (Client Credentials). End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Matillion actions.

<Warning>Only Super Admin users can create API credentials. The client secret is shown only once.</Warning>

  <h2>Get Your Matillion API Credentials</h2>

  <p>Create API credentials from your Matillion (Maia) account settings.</p>

    <Step title="Log in to Matillion">

        <p>Log in to your <a href="https://app.matillion.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Matillion account</a>.</p>
      </div>

    <Step title="Navigate to API Credentials">

        <p>Go to <strong>Profile & Account Settings</strong> > <strong>API Credentials</strong>.</p>
      </div>

    <Step title="Create API Credential">

        <p>Click <strong>Set an API Credential</strong>, assign a descriptive name, and select an <strong>Account Role</strong>.</p>
      </div>

    <Step title="Copy Credentials">

        <p>Copy the <strong>Client ID</strong> and <strong>Client Secret</strong> immediately.</p>

        <ul>
          <li>The Client Secret is shown only once and cannot be retrieved later</li>
          <li>Store credentials securely</li>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

  <Steps>
    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/guides/accounts-section#linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.
    </Step>

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

      <ul>
        <li><strong>Client ID</strong></li>
        <li><strong>Client Secret</strong></li>
        <li><strong>Region</strong></li>
      </ul>
    </Step>

    <Step title="Connect">
      <ul>
        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/guides/accounts-section">Accounts</a> page.</p>
