# Connect Lumonic with API Key – StackOne Hub

> Link a Lumonic account in the StackOne Hub using API Key. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Lumonic actions.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Lumonic does not offer self-service API keys. Ask your Lumonic team to issue one for your workspace.

## Get a Lumonic API key

The Lumonic API authenticates every request with an API key sent in the **Authorization** header.

**1. Request a key from Lumonic**

Contact your Lumonic team or [support@lumonic.com](mailto:support@lumonic.com) and ask for a Public API key for your workspace. Production keys look like lk-production-....

**2. Paste the key into StackOne**

Paste the key into the **API Key** field and save the connection. StackOne verifies it by listing your namespaces.

A 401 response means the key is missing or invalid; a 403 means the key is valid but lacks permission for that operation.

## Linking the Account from the Hub

**1. Navigate to the Hub**

Use one of the three [Linking Account Methods](/connect/managing-connectors/linking-accounts.md) to access the Hub.

**2. Fill out the fields**

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

**API Key**

**3. Connect**

Click **Connect**

If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.

Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account on your [Accounts](https://app.stackone.com/accounts) page.
