# Connect Lucca with API Key – StackOne Hub

> Link a Lucca account in the StackOne Hub using API Key. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Lucca actions.

<Warning>Admin access to your Lucca account is required to generate API keys.</Warning>

  <h2>Finding Your Subdomain</h2>

  <p>Your subdomain identifies your Lucca instance.</p>

        <p>Your subdomain is the text before `.ilucca.net` in your Lucca URL. For example, if you access Lucca at `https://acme.ilucca.net`, your subdomain is `acme`.</p>

  <h2>Generating an API Key</h2>

  <p>Generate an API key from your Lucca account settings.</p>

    <Step title="Navigate to API Keys">

        <p>From your Lucca dashboard:</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Go to <strong>Settings</strong> > <strong>API Keys</strong></li>
          <li>Or navigate to your account settings</li>

        <p>Create a new API key for the integration.</p>

          <li>Click <strong>Add New Key</strong></li>
          <li>Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "StackOne Integration")</li>
          <li>Configure the role and permissions for the key</li>
          <li>Click <strong>Generate Key</strong></li>
        </ul>

        <p>Copy the API key immediately and store it securely. Each key has its own dedicated role that controls access rights.</p>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/guides/accounts-section#linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

      <ul>
        <li><strong>Subdomain</strong></li>
        <li><strong>API Key</strong></li>
      </ul>

    <Step title="Connect">

        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/guides/accounts-section">Accounts</a> page.</p>
