# Connect JOIN with API Token – StackOne Hub

> Link a JOIN account in the StackOne Hub using API Token. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using JOIN actions.

  <h2>Generating an API Token</h2>

  <p>To connect JOIN with StackOne, you need an API token from your JOIN account.</p>

    <Step title="Sign in to JOIN">

        <p>Sign in to your <a href="https://join.com/auth/login" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">JOIN account</a>.</p>

    <Step title="Open User Settings">

        <p>Click on your profile avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Click <strong>User settings</strong> from the menu.</li>
        </ul>

        <p>In the Settings sidebar, click <strong>API</strong> under your user settings.</p>

    <Step title="Copy the API Token">

        <p>On the API page, you will see your Token under the <strong>Integration data</strong> section.</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Click <strong>Copy to clipboard</strong> to copy the token.</li>
          <li>Keep the token secure, as it can be used to access and modify data in your JOIN account.</li>
        </ul>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/guides/accounts-section#linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

        <li><strong>API Token</strong></li>
      </ul>

    <Step title="Connect">

        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/guides/accounts-section">Accounts</a> page.</p>
