# Connect Jenkins with API Token – StackOne Hub

> Link a Jenkins account in the StackOne Hub using API Token. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Jenkins actions.

<Warning>Use an Administrator account. A lower-privileged account can only see its own full account details, so unified\_list\_users and unified\_get\_user fail with a clear error instead of returning an incomplete list. Role data also needs the Role-based Authorization Strategy plugin.</Warning>

  <h2>Find your Jenkins URL</h2>

  <p>Use the address you open Jenkins at, for example `https://jenkins.example.com`. Leave off any trailing slash.</p>

  <h2>Create an API token</h2>

  <p>Create a token for an Administrator account, so StackOne can read every real user's account details, not only its own.</p>

        <p>Click your name in the top right corner of any page, then click <strong>Security</strong>.</p>

        <p>Under <strong>API Token</strong>, click <strong>Add new Token</strong>, give it a name such as `StackOne`, and click <strong>Generate</strong>.</p>

        <p>Copy the token now. Jenkins shows it only once.</p>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/connect/managing-connectors/linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

      <ul>
        <li><strong>Jenkins URL</strong></li>
        <li><strong>Username</strong></li>
        <li><strong>API Token</strong></li>
      </ul>

        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/gateway/concepts/linked-accounts">Accounts</a> page.</p>
