# Connect IONOS with API Key – StackOne Hub

> Link a IONOS account in the StackOne Hub using API Key. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using IONOS actions.

<Warning>Only the contract owner and administrators can manage users. Create the token while signed in as one of them. Tokens expire, so replace the token before its expiry date.</Warning>

  <h2>Create an API token</h2>

  <p>Generate a token in the Data Center Designer.</p>

  <Steps>
    <Step title="Open the Token Manager">

        <p>Sign in to the Data Center Designer as the contract owner or an administrator, then open <strong>Menu</strong> > <strong>Management</strong> > <strong>Token Manager</strong>.</p>

        <p>Select <strong>Generate Token</strong>, choose a <strong>Time To Live</strong> (up to 365 days), and copy the <strong>Token Value</strong>. It is shown only once.</p>

    <Step title="Enter the contract number if needed">

        <p>The connection reads the contract the token was created for. To review a different contract your login can reach, enter its number in <strong>Contract Number</strong>.</p>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

  <Steps>
    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/connect/managing-connectors/linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

      <ul>
        <li><strong>API Token</strong></li>
        <li><strong>Contract Number</strong> (Optional)</li>
      </ul>

    <Step title="Connect">
      <ul>
        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/gateway/concepts/linked-accounts">Accounts</a> page.</p>
