# Connect Dropbox Sign with API Key – StackOne Hub

> Link a Dropbox Sign account in the StackOne Hub using API Key. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Dropbox Sign actions.

  <h2>Generate an API Key</h2>

  <p>An API key is required to authenticate requests to the Dropbox Sign API.</p>

    <Step title="Navigate to API Settings">

        <p>Sign in to <a href="https://app.hellosign.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Dropbox Sign</a> and navigate to your <a href="https://app.hellosign.com/home/myAccount#api" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">API Settings</a> page. You can also reach this by clicking your username in the top-right corner, selecting <strong>My Settings</strong>, and then clicking the <strong>API</strong> tab.</p>

        <p>Click <strong>Generate key</strong>, enter a descriptive name for the key (e.g., "StackOne Integration"), and click <strong>Generate key</strong> to create it.</p>

        <p>Copy the generated API key and store it securely for use later. You can have up to four API keys per account.</p>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/guides/accounts-section#linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

        <li><strong>API Key</strong></li>

        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/guides/accounts-section">Accounts</a> page.</p>
