# Connect ClickUp with Personal API Token – StackOne Hub

> Link a ClickUp account in the StackOne Hub using Personal API Token. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using ClickUp actions.

  <h2>Generating a Personal API Token</h2>

  <p>Your Personal API Token grants the integration access to your ClickUp workspace data.</p>

    <Step title="Sign in to ClickUp">

        <p>Sign in to your <a href="https://app.clickup.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ClickUp account</a> using your credentials.</p>

    <Step title="Navigate to Settings">

        <p>From your ClickUp dashboard:</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Click on your <strong>profile avatar</strong>.</li>
          <li>Select <strong>Settings</strong> from the menu.</li>

        <p>In the Settings page:</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Click on <strong>ClickUp API</strong> in the left sidebar (under the <strong>Integrations & ClickApps</strong> section).</li>
          <li>You'll find the <strong>API Token</strong> section on this page.</li>
          <li>Click on <strong>Generate</strong> or <strong>Regenerate</strong> to create a new token.</li>

    <Step title="Confirm Your Password">

        <p>When clicking <strong>Regenerate</strong>, ClickUp will prompt you to confirm your account password before issuing a new token.</p>

          <li>In the <strong>Enter your Password to generate API Token</strong> dialog, type your ClickUp account password.</li>
          <li>Click <strong>Confirm Password</strong> to proceed.</li>
        </ul>

    <Step title="Copy the API Token">

        <p>Copy the generated API token immediately and store it securely. You can regenerate it at any time if needed.</p>

  <h2>Finding Your Workspace ID</h2>

  <p>Your default Workspace ID (also called Team ID) identifies which ClickUp workspace to access. This serves as the default workspace for API requests, but you can override it by passing other authorized workspace IDs in action input parameters.</p>

    <Step title="Get Workspace ID from URL">

        <p>The easiest way to find your workspace ID is from the ClickUp URL:</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Sign in to your <a href="https://app.clickup.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ClickUp account</a> and navigate to any page in your workspace.</li>
          <li>Look at the URL in your browser's address bar (e.g., `https://app.clickup.com/90161487323/inbox`).</li>
          <li>The workspace ID is the number immediately after `app.clickup.com/` (e.g., "90161487323").</li>
          <li>Copy this number to use as your workspace ID.</li>
        </ul>

    <Step title="Alternative Method Using API">

        <p>You can also retrieve your workspace ID using the ClickUp API:</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Make a GET request to `https://api.clickup.com/api/v2/team` with your Personal API Token in the Authorization header.</li>
          <li>The response will contain your team/workspace ID in the `teams` array.</li>
        </ul>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

  <Steps>
    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/guides/accounts-section#linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.
    </Step>

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

      <ul>
        <li><strong>Personal API Token</strong></li>
        <li><strong>Workspace ID (Team ID)</strong></li>
      </ul>

    <Step title="Connect">
      <ul>
        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/guides/accounts-section">Accounts</a> page.</p>
