# Connect ClayHR with API Key – StackOne Hub

> Link a ClayHR account in the StackOne Hub using API Key. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using ClayHR actions.

  <h2>Getting Your API Credentials</h2>

  <p>You need your API Key, User ID, and company subdomain to connect.</p>

    <Step title="Find Your Company Subdomain">

        <p>Your subdomain is the first part of your ClayHR URL. For example, if you access ClayHR at `https://acmecompany.clayhr.com`, your subdomain is `acmecompany`.</p>

    <Step title="Generate Your API Key">

        <p>In the ClayHR app:</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Hover over your user record in the top right corner</li>
          <li>Click on <strong>My Integrations</strong></li>
          <li>Switch to the <strong>Manage API Keys</strong> tab</li>
          <li>Click <strong>Generate API keys</strong></li>
          <li>Click <strong>show</strong> to copy your API key</li>
        </ul>

    <Step title="Find Your User ID">

        <p>Your User ID is displayed on the same <strong>My Integrations</strong> screen where you generated your API key, or on your user record page.</p>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

  <Steps>
    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/guides/accounts-section#linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

      <ul>
        <li><strong>Company Subdomain</strong></li>
        <li><strong>API Key</strong></li>
        <li><strong>User ID</strong></li>
      </ul>
    </Step>

    <Step title="Connect">
      <ul>
        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>
    </Step>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/guides/accounts-section">Accounts</a> page.</p>
