# Connect Brandfetch with API Key – StackOne Hub

> Link a Brandfetch account in the StackOne Hub using API Key. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Brandfetch actions.

## Creating an API key

Brandfetch issues API keys from the developer portal. An API key is a server side credential\
that reaches the Brand API, the Brand Context API and the Transaction API.

**1. Sign in to Brandfetch**

Sign in to your [Brandfetch developer account](https://developers.brandfetch.com).

<ul>
  <li>Choose **Continue with Google** or **Continue with GitHub**, or enter your address in **Enter your email address** and click **Sign in**.</li>
  <li>Select **Sign up** instead if you do not have an account yet.</li>
</ul>

**2. Open Keys and MCP**

In the sidebar, click **Keys & MCP**.

**3. Open the API Keys section**

The **API Keys** section holds your server side credentials. Click **Add API key**.

<ul>
  <li>The section is labeled **Server side credentials for Brand API, Brand Context API and Transaction API.**</li>
  <li>A new account already has one key named **Starter Key**, described as **We auto-generated this key for you when you signed up.** You can use that key instead of creating a new one.</li>
</ul>

**4. Name and create the key**

Complete the **Create API key** dialog, then click **Create**.

<ul>
  <li>Name: `StackOne Integration`</li>
  <li>Description: `Integration with StackOne`</li>
  <li>The dialog notes **Ensure you keep it safe, do not share it publicly.**</li>
</ul>

## Copying your API key

The new key appears in the **API Keys** table under the **API key** column, shortened to its\
first and last characters.

**1. Copy the API key**

On the row for your key, click the eye icon to reveal the full value and the copy icon to\
copy it to your clipboard.

<ul>
  <li>Paste it into the **API Key** field in StackOne Hub.</li>
  <li>The value stays available in **Keys & MCP**, so you can reveal and copy it again later.</li>
  <li>Store it securely — it is a secret and must not be used in client-side code.</li>
</ul>
