# Connect Black Duck with API Token – StackOne Hub

> Link a Black Duck account in the StackOne Hub using API Token. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Black Duck actions.

## Create an API token

Black Duck does not expose a public multi-tenant API — each customer has\
their own server URL and issues its own tokens.

**1. Find your Server URL**

Note the base URL of your Black Duck instance — this is the **Server URL** value.\
\
Format: `https://{subdomain}.blackduck.com`\
Example: `https://acme.blackduck.com`

**2. Open your account menu**

Sign in to your Black Duck instance, then select **your username** in the top right.

**3. Create an Access Token**

Select **Access Tokens**, then **Create New Token**. Choose the scopes needed and copy the token — this is the **API Token** value, shown only once.

## Link the Account

**1. Connect**

Click **Connect**.

If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.

Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup.

**2. Use Actions**

Connect an AI platform to the linked account's actions. See [AI Platforms](https://docs.stackone.com/connect/ai-platforms/overview.md).

Other ways to call actions are listed in [Protocols & SDKs](https://docs.stackone.com/connect/protocols-and-sdks.md).
