# Connect Better Stack with API Key – StackOne Hub

> Link a Better Stack account in the StackOne Hub using API Key. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Better Stack actions.

<Warning>Only admins can create API tokens. Team leads can view existing tokens.</Warning>

  <h2>Create an API token</h2>

  <p>Use either a global API token or an Uptime API token for the team you want to review.</p>

        <p>In Better Stack, go to <strong>Settings</strong> > <strong>API tokens</strong>.</p>

    <Step title="Copy a token">

        <p>Copy a token from <strong>Global API tokens</strong>, or pick your team under <strong>Team-based tokens</strong> and copy a token from <strong>Uptime API tokens</strong>.</p>

        <p>If you use a global API token and your organization has more than one team, enter the exact name of the team to review in <strong>Team Name</strong>.</p>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/connect/managing-connectors/linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

      <ul>
        <li><strong>API Token</strong></li>
        <li><strong>Team Name</strong> (Optional)</li>
      </ul>

    <Step title="Connect">
      <ul>
        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/gateway/concepts/linked-accounts">Accounts</a> page.</p>
