# Connect Aikido with OAuth 2.0 - Client Credentials – StackOne Hub

> Link a Aikido account in the StackOne Hub using OAuth 2.0 - Client Credentials. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Aikido actions.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Only an Aikido workspace admin can create REST API clients. Actions return 403 when the client lacks the scope they need.

## Choose your region

Select the region that matches the host in your Aikido address bar.

**Europe**: app.aikido.dev

**United States**: app.us.aikido.dev

**Australia**: app.au.aikido.dev

**Middle East**: app.me.aikido.dev

## Create a REST API client

Generate a client ID and client secret in Aikido.

**1. Open the REST API integration**

Sign in to Aikido and go to **Settings** > **Integrations** > **API** > **Aikido** > **Rest**.

**2. Add a client**

Click **Add Client**, enter an **App name**, keep the app type **Private**, and select the scopes for the actions you plan to use.

**3. Copy the credentials**

Copy the **Client ID** and **Client secret** and store them securely for use later.

The client secret is shown only once.

## Linking the Account from the Hub

**1. Navigate to the Hub**

Use one of the three [Linking Account Methods](https://docs.stackone.com/connect/managing-connectors/linking-accounts.md) to access the Hub.

**2. Fill out the fields**

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

**Region**

**Client ID**

**Client Secret**

**3. Connect**

Click **Connect**

If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.

Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account on your [Accounts](https://app.stackone.com/accounts) page.
