# Connect AbsenceSoft with OAuth 2.0 (Password Grant) – StackOne Hub

> Link a AbsenceSoft account in the StackOne Hub using OAuth 2.0 (Password Grant). End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using AbsenceSoft actions.

<Warning>Your vanity URL is assigned by your AbsenceSoft implementation team and is required for every request. Use Portal credentials whose role grants the access your integration needs — the token inherits that user's permissions.</Warning>

  <h2>Gather your AbsenceSoft credentials</h2>

  <p>You need three values: your organization's vanity URL, a Portal username, and its password.</p>

        <p>Your AbsenceSoft API hosts are vanity-scoped, e.g. https\://\<vanityUrl>.auth.absencetracker-api.com for authentication and https\://\<vanityUrl>.case.absencetracker-api.com for case data. The \<vanityUrl> portion (e.g. "acme") was assigned during implementation.</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Enter only the subdomain prefix (e.g. "acme"), not the full URL.</li>
          <li>Contact your AbsenceSoft implementation team if you are unsure of your vanity URL.</li>
        </ul>

        <p>Provide the username (or email) and password of a Portal user whose role grants the access your integration requires.</p>

        <ul>
          <li>The access token inherits this user's role and permissions.</li>
          <li>A locked, disabled, or password-expired account will fail authentication.</li>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/guides/accounts-section#linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

      <ul>
        <li><strong>Vanity URL</strong></li>
        <li><strong>Username</strong></li>
        <li><strong>Password</strong></li>
      </ul>

        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/guides/accounts-section">Accounts</a> page.</p>
